Sail boats, when faced with a headwind, tack across the wind to make progress into it. Cars, when faced with boulders on the road, apparently must do something similar. Hence the three hour retreat and detour I was forced to take just 90 minutes into my infinite journey.
The thing is, it was beautiful. Once I settled into the moment and realized it really didn't matter, I was able to recognize the splendor around me.
