One of the few treats for the eyes traveling up the otherwise stultifying I-5 through the central valley of California, is Mt. Shasta. It's a volcano of some sort - ask my friend Lori Lesney what type - she's the geologist.
Someone asked me today if you could see Shasta from I-5. I'll say you can! This picture doesn't do it justice, as it looms large.
