Tracy and I started going out after I finished building her call center in San Antonio. Technically, I just managed the project. Anyway, I lived in Sacramento and she lived in San Antonio, so I flew down for a first date.
We went to the Japanese Tea Garden, which is a beautiful little rock-and-mortar series of buildings and surrounding gardens and ponds.
Eventually I got up the nerve and told her I thought it was time we kiss. Turns out, we both operated at that speed, and she liked the formality of it.
To say it changed my life, our lives, would be an understatement. I knew then she was for me, and she seemed to feel the same. I'll always love this place, even if it wasn't fabulous in its own right.
Just lovely dad.
